Closing down two print facilities
Swedish firm Pressgrannar, which is owned by the media house NTM, is closing its printing facilites in Uppsala (News papers) and Ektab in Eskilstuna (Magazines and DM). Both will be closed down during the next half year.
“We do this in order to cut costs. We need to look all our expenses and save money where we can. We are saving some millions directly by doing this,” says CEO Peter Ihre of Pressgrannar, to Swedish paper Journalisten.
After the closures, Pressgranner will have two print facilities left – in Linköping and in Visby. Some of the news paper production in Uppsala will be moved to Bonnier owned Bold outside of Stockholm. The rest will be printed at the Pressgrannar facility in Linköping.
