Norway: Two printers investing for the future – digital is replacing offset

Two Norwegian print houses have invested heavily in new printing equipment after the summer.

Drammen based Zoom Grafisk is replacing its offset capacity with two new HP machines. This according to Swedish supplier VIsutech. Zoom Grafisk is investing in a HP Indigo 12000 and a HP Indigo 7900. HP 12000 enbales Zoom to print B2 digitally, and with its HP 7900 the firm gets seven colors which opens up for printing with silver.

Los Digital in Larvik, Norway has also invested in a HP 12000 and a Scodix Ultra 101 with digital varnish and foliation. The Scodix finishing equipment enables Los Digital to offer a wide range of special effects on their printed material.

Zoom Grafisk AS posted last year a turn over of 46.5 million Norwegian kroner.
