07 Media to strengthen its focus on design
07 Media, largest printer in Norway, wants to strengthen its focus on design. The company aims at a turn over of 100 million NOK from design services.
“There is no secret that we have seen a volume decline in print. We therefore believe it is necessary to transform our business strategy to meet tomorrow’s reality,” says CEO of 07 Media, Kjetil Amundsen to news site Kampanje.
The media group is now launching 07 Design and Amundsen says that he aims at a turn over of 100 million NOK “in a few years.” The group has a turn over of 70 million NOK from design services today.
Gjyri Helen Werp, who recently was hired as CXO in 07 Media, will be heading the new division. 07 Design will be an independent business unit in the group.
“07 Design will be a complete design agency delivering everything from strategy, visual identity, branding and design of books, magazines, campaigns, expo design and so on. I have broad experience from the media industry – both from creative business and management, change and turn-around cases, so I know what I’ll be facing,” says Werp.
07 Design will consist of 35 creative heads.
“Someone comes from the agency side, others from traditional graphic production,” says Werp.
