New owners of Brandfactory – returning to the industry

Investment fund Lazarus Equity Partners acquires Brandfactory which recently went into reconstruction.

Brandfactory, one of the biggest producers of graphic communication in the Nordics, is present in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

Lazarus is “an investment fund specializing in turn-around cases.” The fund also acquired local news papers “Mitt i Stockholm” this summer.

“Brandfactory is a market leader in many segments, with large and loyal clients. We believe that our investment in the company is an important part in the new start that is needed. We see many opportunities to strengthen Brandfactory’s position going forward and we hope that we as new owners can add relevant competence,” says Claes Jonson, partner at Lazarus Equity Partners AB.

The team behind Lazarus has strong connections to both the media and printing industry. Yann Blandy was CEO of Intellecta when Ineko was sold to Accent Equity. Martin Alsander and Claes Jonson have background from Swedish media house Stampen and both were involved in Stampen’s major reconstruction process recently.
