The Norwegian Bodoni Group acquiries another Norwegian printer

The Norwegian Bodoni Group acquiries Gunnarshaug Trykkeri in coastal town Stavanger.

Gunnarshaug Trykkeri AS and Bodoni AS will become sister companies in the group. Former owner of Gunnarshaug Trykkeri, Morten Gunnarshaug, continues as head of Gunnarshaug Trykkeri and will also become share holder in the Bodoni Group.

“The two companies fit each other well, and will give both parties better opportunities and a stronger position in the market. We are working with quality sensitive clients in a very competitive industry where trends and technology are changing and developing at high speed. The market is focusing on digitization, and we have to offer communication services that fit this picture. The transaction will strengthen our position and contribute to save local jobs in our industry,” says Morten Gunnarshaug to Grafkom.

“Strengthening our position as a national player”

After the recent acquisition of Gunnarshaug Trykkeri, Bodoni is present in Bergen, Oslo and Stavanger.

Bjarte Hordnes, CEO of Bodoni, says to Grafkom that the group already has clients across the country and that the purchase of Gunnarshaug Trykkeri underlines Bodoni’s nationwide position.

“We are already present with offices and production in Bergen and Oslo, and it feels like a natural next step to strengthen our presence in Stavanger,” says Hordnes.

The Bodoni Group had a turnover of 134 million NOK in 2020, while Gunnarshaug Trykkeri had a turnover of 31 million NOK.
