New dominant print group established in Norway
Norwegian firm 07 Media and its subsidiary 07 Sør have been taken over by two of Norway’s largest graphical companies.
The owners of Bodoni and Lundeby GF are buying 07 Media and are setting up a new print group, where Bodoni AS, Lundeby GF, Møklegaards Trykkeri and 07 Media will be included. This was reported by Media Monitor just before Christmas.
The new group will have a joint turn over of approx NOK 690 million and 358 employees in Fredrikstad, Hærland, Aurskog, Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Kristiansand.
“The merger means we will be able to offer our customers a one-stop-shop with top-notch digital solutions, design and printed products. This will also enable us to focus more on logistics and offer more competitive freight and distribution alternatives,” says Bjarte J. Hordnes, owner of Bodoni and CEO in the new, joint company.
To Media Monitor, Hordnes underlines that there are three familiy-owned players behind the new group with a long-term engagement in the graphic sector.
“One of our goals is to strengthen our position within logistics and benefit from our central location around Oslo. Being part of a big group will give us better profitability and better utilization of competence and machines,” says chairman of the board, Helge G. Lundeby.
