New, free tool to keep track of your PDF files

Callas software, a supplier of automatized PDF solutions for workflow of print, publication and long-term archiving, is now launching new, free tools for PDF handling.

”You are now able to explore and implement for free the use of the latest PDF standards in workflow for pre-press, print production, packaging production, digital publication and digital archiving.” Kent Åberg, CEO of Newformat , reseller in Sweden and Norway for Callas software.

The new tools give professional users and developers insight into the technical status of PDF files, including the files’ internal structure, fonts and meta data, as well as any in-going DPart or tagging structures.

“Users will even be able to extract bar codes and QR codes, and the tool’s ”Test Mode” enables users to validate job profiles,” says Kent Åberg of Newformat.

”Our new desktop tools give professional users and developers detailed insight into the PDF’s technical status which considerably simplifies the processing.” Dietrich von Seggern, CEO of Callas software
