Sappi has built new infrastructure in Sweden and Denmark which enables the company to distribute paper to printers within 48 hours, according to a press release.
The new service includes the wood free coated sheet paper Magno , with the qualities Magno Satin, Magno Matt and Magno Gloss.
The paper is delivered from Denmark, and the company claims that deliveries are handled within 48 hours to printers in the south of Sweden.
Sappis says in a press release that their aim is to strengthen the power of print.
“We will work together with printers that see a value in cooperating with us,” says Stig Hedman in an email to Branschkoll.se.
Sappi’s most well-known brand Magno is said to be used as standard paper in several hundreds of sheet fed print houses all over Europe. However, in Scandinavia Sappi is probably more known for its brand Galerie Art.
Sappi has also lately developed services and software aimed at helping printers become more effective. At Grafkom’s Workflow Summit in November last year, Anna Oñate from Sappi owned OctoBoost, shared her thoughts on this topic. See her presentation here .
