CEO Esben Mols Kabell of Scandinavian Print Group (Lasertryk) has been speaking about the future in an interview with Branschkoll/Grafkom.
“This year we will have a turn over of approximately 115 million euro. Our goal is to double this within four years,” Mols Kabell states in the interview.
Recently, Scandinavian Print Group (SPG) carried out its first acquistion in Germany after a M&A break for almost two years. But the group is now once again ready for new deals, according to Mols Kabell.
“We made som quite big acquistions in 2020 and 2021. After that we felt the need for consolidating these firms into our own business. So the break was due to internal needs. We hope to make 3-4 new acquisitions this year. Next year our goal is 5-8 deals in either Denmark, Sweden or Germany,” says Mols Kabell.
Why are you now also focusing on the German market?
“We have production in Århus (Denmark) and Szczecin (Poland) , so Germany is good logistically. Furthermore, the graphic market in Hamburg is alone as big as the entire Danish market, so it is an attractive market for us. And lastly, Germany is the home market for Onlineprinters (SPG’s German owners), so we already have a large production in Germany which can take on even more orders.
Hopes to double its turn over
SPG aims at doubling its turn over in four years time. The group has a turn over of approximately 115 million euro this year, according to Mols Kabell.
Digital print larger than offset
Before the German purchase earlier this year, SPG reported 15 per cent more orders in 2024 compared to 2023, but approximately the same turn over.
“For the first time since 2005, our turn over from digital print is higher than our turn over from offset. One of our strengths is that we can handle a large quantity of small orders. The trend towards smaller and more orders is a positive trend for us,” Mols Kabell states.
