Bamatex and Rudholm Get New Global Owner

ITL Group Acquires Rudholm Group and Subsidiary Bamatex, writes Branschkoll.

ITL Group is acquiring Rudholm Group, a specialist in packaging, labeling, and textile accessories. The acquisition includes the subsidiary Bamatex, whose operations encompass Swedish manufacturing of heat transfer prints, woven labels, embroidery, and reflective products, according to a press release.

Headquartered in London, ITL operates with a global footprint across 20 locations worldwide. Employing over 2,000 people, the company projects a output of 4.5 billion labels in 2025.

Retaining Brand Identity and Management

Rudholm will continue to operate under its established brand identity following the transaction. Dennis Lau will remain as CEO. Both Lau and founder Jonas Wollin will reinvest in ITL Group, becoming shareholders in the combined entity. Wollin will also join ITL’s Board of Directors.

“As our industry evolves, we wanted a partner who could enhance our offering while sharing our core values and long-term commitment,” states Dennis Lau.

Access to Global Production

The transaction is driven by the need to meet increasing demands for traceability, transparency, and digital product data from brands and retailers. The acquisition will grant Rudholm’s client base access to ITL’s global manufacturing network and expanded capabilities in digital solutions and RFID technology.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval from the Swedish Inspectorate of Strategic Products (ISP) in accordance with direct foreign investment screening laws. Closing is expected on September 1, 2026.
